Over the course the last five years and multiple visits to Senegal I have worked with the Aywa team to develop a boat and a journey that would elevate the profile of sustainable social growth in Senegal.
An East African Pirogue locally built in Malika, Senegal from salvaged wood. Powered by a custom built bio-diesel engine and running on locally sourced jatropha seeds, this vessel reflects the abitious vitality of a sustainalble future in Senegal.
In August the production on the boat began in Malika!
