When I was a little boy I wanted to be a fireman like my Grandpa, then an astronaut like Neil Armstrong, then an inventor like Thomas Edison (I later learned I should’ve wanted to be like Tesla). I wanted to be an explorer like Ernest Shackleton or Jacques Cousteau.
Now I am a designer.
What I really wanted was to be able to help people, to push the bounds of what was possible, to create new things, and to bring people to where they had never been before. This is how I see being a designer. It’s about people.
